I don’t workout because I hate my body - I do it because I love it. And if I expect it to look after me I have to start by looking after it.
It sounds ridiculous to some but eating healthy and training is not always about wanting to change something about the physical appearance rather than simply maintaining or improving the things that can’t be seen.
Like resting heart rate... stress and anxiety levels... blood sugar levels... the risk of heart attacks and strokes...
The scary things we don’t want to think about but affect us all. Either directly or through the people we love and care about.
How long are you willing to risk your long term health for momentary satisfaction?
How long are you willing to gamble your life for an extra hour in bed in the morning? For a slice of cake every evening? For yet another excuse not to be active and eat right?
Think about it...
Exercise and a healthy diet is not a punishment... it’s the opposite, not caring or taking the time for those things, that is the biggest punishment to yourself and your body.
